Today is the U.S. debut of the HTC Titan, which will likely be the new flagship for Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system. This device sports a display that's almost 5-inches, as well as a range of other high-end features.
The centerpiece for this newly-released model is its 4.7-inch WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive touchscreen. That gives it one of the largest displays available on any smartphone.
The Titan's designers didn't skimp in other areas, either. It runs Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) on a 1.5 GHz processor, and has an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash. There's 16GB of internal storage (but no removable card slot).
Other items in the features list include support for AT&T's 4G HSPA+ wireless network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, plus a 1.3MP front-facing camera and a 1600 mAh battery.
Price and Availability
The HTC Titan launched today, so it is available now on the AT&T website. So far, this is the only carrier in this country that is offering it.
It has a price in-line with its high-end featureset: $200 with a two-year contract. It costs $550 without a contract.
