While audience members of the The Ellen Show received the HTC Radar 4G for free, those of you who weren’t lucky enough to attend the taping of the show can still get this Windows phone for free as part of a limited time offer on T-Mobile.com.
Though the carrier neglected to announce the deal, customers can purchase a HTC Radar 4G for zero dollars with a two-year contract. Also, along with the phone, customers will receive a $25 Windows App Store Gift Card, good for any purchase on the Windows Phone Marketplace website.
The HTC Radar 4G originally launched from T-Mobile in October, running Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5, the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile operating system. The smartphone sports a 3.8-inch WVGA (800 x 480) Touchscreen and packs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Shipping with 8GB of onboard storage, the mid-range device does not include a memory card slot, though it does come with a suite of software from Microsoft, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer 9.
The 4G device was the first Windows Phone 7 to access T-Mobiles HSPA+ network and features dual cameras. The smartphone originally retailed for $100 with a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. Currently the phone is available free on T-Mobile’s website.
