Rockstar is celebrating its transition into open world 3D gaming by releasing a mobile version of its acclaimed Grand Theft Auto game.
Available now for the Android and iOS platforms, Grand Theft Auto III can be found on the Android Market and iTunes. The cost of a rampage through Liberty City on your smartphone? Only $5. The game is compatible on the HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, T-Mobile G2X and the iPhone 4 and 4S.
With game play and controls now touch panel optimized, gamers can play their old-time favorite on their handsets, with the game also supporting “select” USB gamepads on Android.
Be sure to check out our sister-site, TabletPCReview, as they will have a review of the sandbox game for tablets up this weekend.
