LogMeIn, an app that allows users to remotely control a PC or Mac with their smartphone, used to sell for $30. Today, a free version for the iOS was introduced, as well as a premier one with additional features.
Apple iPhone and iPad owners can take advantage of the remote access capabilities by downloading the free app from the Apple App Store and then installing LogMeIn Free on any computer which they wish to access. Using this app, the mobile device's screen and keyboard becomes the PC's screen and keyboard.
Those who want additional features can purchase LogMeIn Pro for $30. This adds the ability to copy, move, and save files or folders from remote computers or cloud-storage services like Dropbox directly onto the iOS device, In addition, it includes High Definition (HD) remote control, designed for streaming video and audio content from their PCs to their smartphone or tablet. Those who paid for the previous version, LogMeIn Igntion, will get LogMeIn Pro.
Android users shouldn't feel left out -- a version of the free and Pro versions for devices running Google's operating system is scheduled for release next year.
