Those who waited for the release of the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX can finally own this Verizon 4G LTE smartphone with a very big battery but a very slim design.. Subscribers can purchase the smartphone for $300 with a new two-year contract.
Customers who are unsatisfied with the battery in the original Droid RAZR will have be happy to hear about the extended battery life of the RAZR MAXX. Its 3300mAh battery is rated at 21 hours of talk time, 7 hours or web surfing, 15 hours of video, or 60 hours oflistening to music. Although the battery is larger than its predecessor, the RAZR MAXX will remain impressively thin at 9 mm.
This smartphone runs Android OS 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) with an upgrade to OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) coming soon. It runs on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 32GB of total memory (16GB built in, 16GB microSD card). It also has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced screen.
The MAXX sports an 8MP rear-facing camera that can capture 1080p HD video and a 1.3MP HD front-facing camera for videoconferencing. It runs on Verizon's 4G LTE, plus 3G EV-DO. The smartphone also has an HDMI output, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more.
