An upcoming Android OS 4.0 smartphone, codenamed the HTC Ville, was featured in a leaked video earlier today. It is expected to be officially announced at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona next month.
The device is reportedly going to be one of the first with Android 4.0 OS (Ice Cream Sandwich), with HTC's Sense 4.0 user interface running on top. It will be built around a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM, which should give it snappy performance.
Reports have the HTC Ville as being thinner than the Apple iPhone 4S. Nevertheless, it will supposedly include a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, 4G HSPA+, and a 1650mAh battery. It will also sport an 8MP rear-facing camera, if the descriptions of it that have leaked out are correct.
One of the more significant features of Android OS 4.0 is on-screen Home, Menu, and Back buttons, removing the need for physical ones. Despite this, the leaked video of the upcoming HTC smartphone shows it retaining these buttons.
The video of the Ville has been removed from YouTube, but Brighthand will keep everyone updated with the latest news on this upcoming handset.
