UPDATE: Citing problems at some of its retail stores yesterday as the reason, T-Mobile has extended this sale to Sunday. However, the sale prices are available only in stores -- this move is intended to help customers who were not able to make a purchase yesterday.
Planning to look for a phone this weekend? Head over to T-Mobile today, select any of this carrier's smartphones with 4G service, and walk away with the device for free.
T-Mobile is having a one-day pre-Valentines Day mega sale on all of its 4G-enabled smartphones and select tablets. Some of the phones part of the deal include the Samsung Galaxy S II, the HTC Amaze 4G, the new Nokia Lumia 710, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 4G, and the Samsung Exhibit II 4G.
The Samsung Galaxy S II is one of T-Mobile’s most popular devices, originally sold at $230. It runs Android OS 2.3.5 on a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, and has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, two cameras, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless networking, and optional HDMI output. The BlackBerry Bold is one of RIM's new generation of handsets that runs an updated version of the BlackBerry OS.
The Amaze 4G was designed to appeal to shutterbugs, as it has a 8 megapixel camera and advanced photo-processing software. The Lumia 710 is Nokia's first smartphone running Microsoft's Windows Phone OS to debut ion the U.S.
All of these models can connect to T-Mobile 4G HSPA+ network. This is significantly faster than older 3G networks, but not a speedy as the 4G LTE networks offered by other carriers.

All devices in this deal will be free after a mail-in rebate with a new two-year agreement on a qualifying Classic plan. Customers can purchase the Classic plan as an individual or as part of a family plan.
