Samsung Galaxy mini 2 Android Smartphone Details Leaked

Those looking for a cheap Android handset need look no further than the Samsung Galaxy mini 2, the specifications for which were leaked over the weekend. An official unveiling is likely to come in a few weeks.

The entry-level device is reportedly the successor of the Samsung Galaxy mini, which was released last year. Not surprisingly, the specs have been improved since the original. The upcoming version is allegedly going to sport a 3.3-inch screen with HVGA (640 x 480) resolution, will run on Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread), will feature an 800MHz processor, and will have 3GB of built-in storage. Other specs include a 3MP camera and 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity.

The original Samsung Galaxy Minis was not picked up by any wireless providers in the U.S., but whether that will change with its successor won't be known until the end of February.
