As new mobile devices are being made ready for an unveiling at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, HTC might be preparing news that will appeal for both the mobile community and the gaming one.
If an unconfirmed report is true, HTC will join Sony as the only companies to have PlayStation Suite and PlayStation certification for their mobile devices. HTC is expected to make an announcement later this year, possibly at MWC 2012.
PlayStation Suite and the certification program is an initiative specifically for Android smartphones and tablets, aimed at appeal manufacturers and gamers. The speculated partnership between HTC and Sony might help HTC in the mobile market by giving the company a "gaming edge" over its competitors.
However, take this report as a grain of salt. Neither HTC nor Sony has confirmed any of these reports. Still, sources outside the company suggest that the certification will happen officially in the end of 2012.
