The ZTE Era Joins the List of Quad-Core Powered Smartphones

Although ZTE announced a plethora of devices at MWC this week, one of the handsets that stood out was "the Era".

Powered by a 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, the ZTE Era will be the company's flagship quad-core handset. It will run Android 4.0 when released, and will sport a 4.3-inch TFT display with 960 x 540 resolution. The phone will only be 7.8mm thin, but will still pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The ZTE Era will have HSPA+ support, along with Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, and UMA support for Wi-Fi calling. Other features that will be included on the device are an 8MP rear-facing camera and an MHL port for connecting to an HDTV. 

ZTE reported that the phone will first ship to Europe and China in the second half of 2012. The price for the device has yet to be announced.
