Samsung Galaxy S III Could Be Released Earlier than Expected

Many are eagerly looking forward to the launch of the  Samsung  Galaxy S III, which a previous rumor said will be out in May. A new report, however, indicates that the wait for this cutting-edge Android smartphone might not be that long.

Samsung disappointed many when it declined to unveil its next flagship model at MWC this week. Instead, the company is going to take the wraps off at its own special event.

ZDnet Korea is reporting that the replacement for the popular Galaxy S II will be on the market in April. This information apparently comes from Samsung's own advertising agency.

However, this isn't expected to be a global launch. The Galaxy S III is supposedly going to be released this spring in Korea and England (to tie in to the London Olympics), but many other countries will have to wait until later in the year.

Power to Burn?
According to unconfirmed reports, the Galaxy S III will be one of the new class of smartphones with a quad-core CPU. In this case, it will be a 1.5 GHz Samsung Exynos processor. Not surprisingly, it will debut with Google Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

It will allegedly have a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. That would give it a Touchscreen larger than most of its rivals, and with a resolution that surpasses some tablets.

Rounding out its rumored list of features will be an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and 4G LTE. It might also have 2GB of RAM.
