Some early details have leaked out about an Android-based smartphone supposedly headed for Verizon. The Motorola Droid Fighter will reportedly have a display larger than any of its predecessors.
According to information coming out of Asia, this model will have a 4.6-inch touchscreen. The exact resolution wasn't given, other than it will be HD, which raises the possibility that it will be 1920 x 1080 pixels. This would top Motorola's current flagship, the Droid RAZR, which has a 4.3-inch, qHD (960 x 540) display. The two devices are shown side-by-side at right.
The leaked image clearly shows a front-facing camera and a Verizon logo. Seeing as this carrier has committed to only releasing smartphones with 4G LTE this year, that feature is a given.
Unfortunately, no other information on this upcoming model has come to the surface yet. Details like which version of the Android OS it will run, processor speed, and storage capacity will have to wait until future reports.
