AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 Geared Towards April 9 Launch

While earlier rumors of a March release of the AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 are looking bleak, those waiting to pick up the device can possibly do so in early April. This will be the debut of the first Windows Phone with 4G LTE.

it was reported a few weeks ago that the handset was rumored to be introduced on March 18. However, other sources hinted towards an April 22 debut because AT&T had run into unexpected issues certifying the device on its network. Issues like this are why carriers don't like to pre-announce release dates for handsets.

AT&T store employees have now tipped website WPCentral with the latest launch date: April 9. Some store employees report that they have units already, and customers can test these out in stores now in preparation of the debut.

Although the price has yet to be officially announced, unconfirmed reports indicate that the Lumia 900 is going to sell for $100 with a two-year contract.

The Nokia Lumia 900 will support AT&T's 4G LTE network, and will sport a 4.3-inch, 800 x 480 (WVGA), ClearBlack AMOLED display.

It will run Microsoft's mobile operating system on a 1.4 GHz single-core processor, and include an 8MP rear-facing camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a 1MP front-facing camera for videoconferencing. The device will have 16GB of storage and an 1830mAh battery.
