AT&T To Release Titan II on April 8

Coming hot on the heels of the news about the Nokia Lumia 900 being released on April 8, AT&T has also revealed that the HTC Titan II will be released on the same day.

The HTC Titan II, also a Windows Phone 7.5 device, will debut with a price point of $199.99, double the price of the Lumia 900. Sporting a design nearly identical to that of its predecessor – including its massive 4.7-inch display – the Titan II has two major differences from the original Titan: it will feature 4G LTE (and HSPA+) connectivity, and it has a greatly improved camera. The rear-facing camera on the Titan II has a whopping 16-megapixel resolution with an f/2.6 AF lens.

And although some sites are reporting that the Titan II’s 1730 mAh battery is removable, we got some hands-on time with the device at CES earlier this year and were specifically told by HTC representatives that it is not. In fact, we even pulled off the back panel and saw for ourselves that this was the case, as doing so only gives users access to the device’s SIM card slot.

So for those of you looking to pick up a Windows Phone on AT&T’s 4G network, which is it going to be, the Nokia Lumia 900 or the HTC Titan II? You have until April 8 to make your choice, but to help you along, here’s some more info on the Titan II.
