HTC Evo One Specs Possibly Leaked; First Press Image Emerges

HTC and Sprint are poised to make a major announcement tomorrow, April 4 at an event in New York, and many are speculating that it will be the unveiling of the LTE-ready Evo One. But just because the event is tomorrow doesn’t mean you have to wait to find out more about the device; an insider source who wishes to remain nameless has provided Android Central with a spec sheet for the handset.

Supposedly slated for a June 6 release date, the Evo One will sport a 4.7-inch, 720p AMOLED display and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Krait processor, according to the spec sheet. It will also feature 16 GB of internal storage, expandable via the phone’s microSD card slot, and it will run Android 4.0 OS (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC’s Sense overlay. And while its battery is a respectable 2650mAh (presumably to compensate for the drain of the Evo One’s LTE connectivity), it is non-removable. Other features include an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2.0 megapixel front-facing camera, Beats by Dre audio, and a kickstand.

But these are, after all, still just rumors, some of which jive with what we’ve heard about the Evo One, some of which don’t. So be sure to take all of this information with a grain of salt. And if you aren’t familiar with what the handset looks like, a press shot of the device was recently sent to Pocketnow, with Sprint’s LTE-ready Evo One in the middle.
