AT&T’s 4G LTE network continues to grow, as the carrier has announced that three new markets will be receiving coverage for its high-speed service this weekend.
Muncie, Bloomington, and Bryan-College Station will all have AT&T 4G LTE coverage starting this Sunday, April 8. Per AT&T’s previous announcement about expanding its network to new markets, this still leaves Cleveland, Akron, and Canton (Ohio); Naples (Florida); Lafayette (Indiana); Baton Rouge and New Orleans (Louisiana); St. Louis (Missouri); and Staten Island to receive coverage as part of the carrier’s current phased rollout.
There’s still time for AT&T to make good on its promises, however, as it initially announced that all of the aforementioned markets will be covered by “early summer.” And as far as its long-term plans go, AT&T has stated that it intends to finish its 4G LTE expansion completely by the end of 2013.
