With rumors swirling around about the release of the HTC One S supposedly slated for the end of April, we may soon find out the official release date as T-Mobile is holding a press event for the HTC handset next week.
T-Mobile will be holding an event for the HTC One S on April 18 at 7:00 p.m. that will feature a performance by Dale Earnhardt Jr. It is expected that T-Mobile will announce the launch of the handset for April 25 -- snapshots from the website TmoNews showed leaked slides for a T-Mobile training program for the One S showing that this smartphone will launch on that date.
The HTC One S will sport a 4.3-inch, 960 x 540 (qHD) display and run Google Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It will be powered by a 1.5-GHz CPU, have 1GB of RAM, and come with 16GB of onboard storage, which is expandable via its microSD card slot. The device will also come with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 0.3-megapixel front facing one.
