Those eager to receive the highly-anticipated HTC One X can start pre-ordering the device today. AT&T is taking orders, but at least one retailer has a better price.
AT&T will be the first U.S. carrier to release the HTC One X on May 6. The official cost of this powerful device has been set at $200 – AT&T’s typical price for a high-end smartphone.
That's not the best price available, however. This smartphone can also be pre-ordered from Radio Shack for $150. This special deal is available only for pre-orders.
HTC One X Preview
As befits a flagship device, this smartphone sports a range of high-end features, including a very large display, 4G, high-res camera, and more. It was the first handset released by HTC to run Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It's also AT&T's first model with ICS.
Unlike the version which has already been released in Europe, AT&T's will support 4G LTE. However, it will have a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, not the quad-core CPU in the European model.
The One X has a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 (720p) super LCD, an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, plus a 1.3 megapixel front-facing one. In addition to LTE, this version is going to sport 4G HSPA+, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0. It will include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD memory card slot.
