HTC One S with Android OS 4.0 Launches from T-Mobile

T-Mobile has just launched the HTC One S, a powerful smartphone making its United States debut today.

Unveiled in February, the One S sports a large touchscreen, 4G (HSPA+) capability, and is the first handset from T-Mobile to feature Android OS 4.0. The device is now available online and in-stores for $200 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card and a qualifying two-year agreement.

This smartphone has a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) Super AMOLED touchscreen, and runs the latest version of Google's mobile operating system on a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of on-board storage, and there is no microSD card slot.

It is one of the first models with HTC Sense 4.0, and, naturally, is bundled with a suite of entertainment and productivity software.

The One S also comes with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing one. The rear-facing camera offers a very fast shutter speed, and lets users capture a picture and shoot video at the same time.

The HTC One S supports T-Mobile 4G HSPA+ 42 network, which compares in speed to its rival's 4G LTE networks. It also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. All this fits in a casing that measures just 8mm thick.
