Those looking for a way to use their iPhones as a pico projector now have a cheap and innovative way to do so with PoP Video.
Compared to other pico projectors in the market today, the PoP Video is cheaper, costing only $100. Its app allows users to project video from YouTube or iTunes, web pages, Facebook, and images.
The device measures itself as 4.4 x 1.8 x 0.6-inches and weighs in at 3.5-ounces. Fitted with a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the PoP Video promises up to two hours of play time on a fully-charged battery. It uses a microUSB cord for charging and will finish fully charging after four hours. It connects to the smartphone through the standard 20-pin plug.
PoP Video only works with the iPhone 4S/S or iPod touch running iOS 5. In use, the projector will display a video at a resolution of 960 x 540 (qHD).
The projector is currently in its pre-order stage and will be released shortly.
