HTC says that Verizon Wireless will not be picking up any of the smartphones in the HTC One series. But that doesn't mean the carrier is ignoring HTC -- the device maker built a handset just for it.
AT&T has launched the flagship handset, the HTC One X, while T-Mobile is offering the One S. Despite impressing the media with its latest devices, HTC said that Verizon will not carry any of the models, and instead will stick with the recently-unveiled HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE.
"Verizon is not going to be carrying either of the HTC One devices currently announced," Jeff Gordon, HTC spokesman, said.
HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE Overview
The smartphone is going to run Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and be suited with the HTC Sense 4.0 user interface. The handset will also feature Beats Audio which provides a complete audio experience for users watching videos, listening to music, or playing games.
It will sport a 4-inch super LCD qHD (960 x 540) display with Corning Gorilla Glass. It will also come with an 8MP rear-facing camera and a front-facing one for video-conferencing.
Internally, the Droid Incredible 4G LTE is going to run on a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM. It will have support for up to 32GB of memory space with a microSD card. The handset will also come with a 1,700mAh lithium ion rechargeable battery.
