Two Samsung smartphones on the T-Mobile network will be receiving the Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update in the coming months.
Last month, Brighthand reported that a selection of Samsung handsets on the AT&T and Sprint networks will definitely be receiving the upgrade, while Verizon and T-Mobile customers still waiting for the news of an upgrade to come. Luckily for T-Mobile customers, Samsung has now promised that this carrier's version of the Samsung Galaxy S II and the recently-released Galaxy S Blaze 4G will be getting a helping of Ice Cream Sandwich soon.
More Devices
The T-Mobile Galaxy S II and the Galaxy S Blaze 4G join AT&T’s Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Galaxy Note, Captivate Glide, and Sprint’s Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch as devices to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update. Sprint’s Nexus S 4G has already received the latest OS.
Official launch dates for the upgrade have yet to be released by Samsung.
We have reviews of both T-Mobile models getting Android ICS upgrades: the Samsung Galaxy S II as well as the Galaxy S Blaze 4G. We also have a review of Android OS 4.0.
