HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE No Longer Held By U.S. Customs

After more than a week of being under review by U.S. Customs, both the HTC One X and the Evo 4g LTE have been released as they are "in compliance with the ITC's ruling".

On May 15, these HTC devices faced import delays into the U.S. because they potentially infringed on a patent owned by Apple. According to HTC, some of these delayed devices were eventually released to consumers on May 20 with future shipments to launch shortly thereafter. It's unclear if HTC performed some workarounds to the Apple patents, but for many customers, the delay is over.

That is unless you are an AT&T subscriber. Despite the handsets being released by U.S. Customs, this online store is still showing that the One X is out of stock. There is still no word regarding when the next shipments will arrive.

The same is true of Sprint customers. The HTC Evo 4G LTE is still listed as "Coming Soon" on this company's website. Sprint released this statement:

While Sprint customers who pre-ordered their HTC Evo 4G LTE received their device last week, Sprint continues to wait for our full inventory from HTC. We recently learned that HTC devices have been released by U.S. Customs. We expect shipments of HTC Evo 4G LTE to enter the U.S. in the next few days. An exact availability date for HTC Evo 4G LTE will be communicated as soon as possible.
