Samsung Galaxy Nexus Price Cut by $50, Getting Android 4.1 Upgrade

With the Google I/O Conference kicking into high gear, more news has been released including the price cut and software update for the HSPA+ version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

The HSPA+ Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the unlocked version of the flagship handset that is compatible with the AT&T and T-Mobile networks in the U.S and with over 200 other GSM carriers worldwide.

It originally was being sold for $400, but price of the device was knocked down to $350. In addition, the unlocked Nexus will be upgraded to the next version of Android, 4.1 AKA Jelly Bean.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Preview

The Galaxy Nexus debuted from Verizon a few months ago, with Sprint following suit earlier this week. It currently runs Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, with 1GB of RAM. This smartphone has a 4.65-inch, 1280 x 720 (720p) Super AMOLED display and 32GB of internal storage.
