Verizon Wireless has announced that the HTC Trophy, the lone Windows Phone 7 model for subscribers, will be receiving an update to Windows Phone Tango.
Details about the update have been posted on the Trophy support page, indicating that the upgrade to Windows Phone 7.5 MCR3 will give the HTC handset Wi-Fi Hotspot support and improved MMS capabilities. The new multimedia messaging features include multi-picture attachments, video attachments, and the ability to share and receive ringtones.
Unfortunately, Verizon has not indicated when the update will be made available to users or when it will begin rolling out, so for the time being, Trophy owners are just going to have to keep a close eye on their phones for an update notification.
