Android smartphone users can now join iOS users in delighting in auto-correct euphoria with Athentech Imaging's Perfectly Clear app. Made available on Wednesday on Google Play, the app offers a suite of presets and other features aimed at automatically correcting photos taken by users.
With the re-introduction of this app, Athentech has issued a redesigned interface specifically for the Android OS. It's also offering the app at an introductory price of 99 cents for a limited time -- the regular price is $1.99.
Users are able to tailor their corrections choosing from four preset correction packages, along with having the ability to customize their own unique correction packages. The presets are fairly simple, offering solutions to popular problems such as Fix Dark and Fix Tint.
For those who aren't feeling particularly photogenic, there is even a Beautify option which applies corrections such as teeth whitening geared to making people look their best.
The re-introduced app also sports some new advantages over its old Apple iOS counterpart. Athentech has optimized Perfectly Clear for the multiple cores available on Android devices. According to the company, as a result, the app runs up to 1.6 times faster on Android versus the iPad 3 and up to 1.75 times faster than on the iPhone 4.
Additionally, the newly redesigned interface allows users to load multiple images and correct them, increasing the speed at which users can create and share photos.
