It may have run into a few obstacles along the way, but the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for the HTC Rezound is now available from Verizon Wireless.
Users that are interested can visit the Rezound software page, where Verizon has posted details about the update, as well as how to download and install it. For those who are anxious to get their hands on Ice Cream Sandwich and just can't wait for Verizon to roll out the OTA (over-the-air) update to their handsets, the RUU is also available for download here and can be manually installed.
The update to Android 4.0, which is 299MB in size, gives the Rezound new features, including the HTC Sense 3.6 UI, Face Unlock, a new browser, advanced notifications, and Verizon services like VCAST Media Manager, Wireless Alerting System, and improved VPN support for Cisco AnyConnect.
