LG Intuition Super-Size Smartphone Debuts from Verizon

The LG Intuition, which is now available from Verizon, is a device that's a bit ahead of the curve. Smartphones have been getting steadily larger, and the Intuition has embraced that trend.

What gives this device its size is a 5-inch, 1024 x 768 (XGA) touchscreen. This has a 4:3 aspect ratio and puts out 650 NIT.

The Intuition runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, with 1GB of RAM. There's 32GB of internal storage.

Overall this handset is 5.5 x 3.6 x 0.33 inches, which has given LG plenty of room for items like a 2080 mAh non-removable battery, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

It was clearly created to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note, which also has a 5-inch display. Like its rival, the Intuition comes with a stylus, which LG is dubbing the Rubberdium pen. In addition to note-taking apps, Polaris Office is also included. 

Price and Availability

With a two-year contract, the LG Intuition is $200. It's $600 without the contract. This smartphone is available today, but only from Verizon's website. It will be in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores beginning Monday, Sept. 10.

Customers who purchase the device online between now and Sept. 10 will receive a free LG Tone Stereo Bluetooth headset as a special promotion.
