Samsung and Sprint Announce Galaxy Victory 4G LTE

In perhaps a slightly lower-profile announcement than Apple's iPhone 5, Samsung and Sprint unveiled a mid-range Android smartphone today, the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE.

Powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE sports a 4-inch display and runs Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung's DLNA sharing software, AllShare, comes preloaded on the phone, allowing users to wirelessly connect their Galaxy Victory 4G LTE to their PC, tablet, or television, or to share content with other users on the same Wi-Fi network.

Other features include a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and NFC compatibility (the phone also supports Google Wallet and Android Beam). Samsung's Siri equivalent, S Voice, is also available on the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE.

Those looking to get their hands on the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE won't need to wait too long. The device goes on sale at the end of this week on Sunday, September 16 for $99.99 with an eligible upgrade or two-year service agreement.
