Earlier this month images of BlackBerry's new L Series smartphone leaked. Well the L Series surfaced again today, but this time, the smartphone was accompanied by the N Series, the other half of the BlackBerry 10 line.
A video supposedly of the N Series not only revealed its QWERTY keyboard, but also showed off some of the capabilities of these upcoming smartphones.
According to this leaked video, the newly-revealed N Series will look reminiscent of many earlier BlackBerrys. However, the device will not have the trackball or Call and Receive buttons that used to be common. Most likely this means that consumers can expect that functionality to be met by the 720 x 720 touchscreen display.
The video, which showcases this smartphone, describes RIM's new project involving the two new handsets. The project talks about unveiling the BlackBerry 10 devices in 2013 by giving them to ten people, both famous and non-famous. The people chosen will attempt to use the handset to achieve an amazing goal, but the kicker is they only have one day to complete the project. The examples RIM gave included author J.K. Rowling and Lady GaGa.
RIM has been in serious trouble for some time now, and the company's future depends heavily on the success of its BlackBerry 10 line. With the N and L series being the first BlackBerry 10 devices to release, the success of RIM itself may be directly tied to how well these handsets do in the market.
