While Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) is Google's latest operating system for smartphones, some devices are still receiving upgrades to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This includes the LG Lucid and the LG Spectrum.
A complete description of the features that were added in Android 4.0 can be found in Brighthand's overview of this operating system.
Both LG models debuted earlier this year running Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread).
Getting the New Version
The software upgrade is being pushed to users of both handsets in phases. Customers will be notified by their device when the upgrade is ready to be installed.
Customers also have the option of using Verizon's Software Upgrade Assistant Tool to download and install this new version from their computer.
