With the launch of Windows Phone 8 slated to take place next week, carriers have begun employee training for their respective models. Naturally, a Verizon Wireless document has already leaked, offering choice bits of info regarding pricing and release dates of two of the Windows Phone handsets from Big Red.
On the document, three different color variants of the mid-range Nokia Lumia 822 (gray, white, and unspecified version that's presumably black) are listed at $100 with a launch date of November 12.
Also listed for a November 12 release is HTC's high-end Windows Phone device, the 8X, with the blue, black, and red models (no yellow) priced at $200. The prices for both phones are with two-year contracts.
AT&T and T-Mobile are also expoected to introduce versions of the HTC 8X in mid-November. The Lumia 822, on the other hand, is supposedly going to be a Verizon exclusive.
It's true that this report should still be treated as a rumor, with nothing set in stone, but should this document prove to be the real deal, it would mean that Verizon Wireless customers won't be getting the Samsung ATIV S or the Nokia Lumia 920 (or even the mid-range HTC 8S), at least for now.
