HTC One X+ Launches from AT&T

AT&T introduced a powerful Android smartphone from HTC today. The One X+ offers a range of high-end features, like 4G LTE and a large, high-resolution touchscreen.

The carrier was also scheduled to launch the HTC One VX today, but at this point the device does not appear on the carrier's website.

HTC One X+ Details

This is an upgraded version of the One X, which debuted this spring. Nearly every aspect of the handset has been improved, including the processor, which has been upgraded to a Tegra 3 AP37 quad-core chip, clocking in at 1.7 GHz. The One X+ ships with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has HTC's Sense 4+ UI layered on top.

It has a 4.7-inch, 720p (1280 x 720p) touchscreen, 64GB of internal storage, an 8MP camera, and a 2100 mAh battery.

The One X costs $200 with a two-year contract.

HTC One VX: MIA?

Earlier this week, HTC said it planned to introduce the HTC One VX today. It's not clear at this point whether that happened. The device certainly isn't available on the telecom's website, not on HTC's.

This model will have scaled back features, as well as a scaled-back price. For example, is going to include a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 (qHD) Super LCD2 display. The smartphone will run the slightly dated Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), but an upgrade to version 4.1 (Jelly Bean) is in development.

At the heart of this device will be a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, with 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of internal storage. Also included will be a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and NFC.

It is going to sell for $50 with a two-year service contract.
