Samsung announced a new milestone for its device, the Samsung Galaxy Note II, as the 5.5-inch phablet managed to breach 5 million unit sales worldwide. This news is coming on the heels of the Korean tech giant's previous announcement of 3 million worldwide unit sales for the device earlier this month.
While the Galaxy Note II sales are nothing short of impressive, the figures fail to meet the sales recorded with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III, which managed to hit 20 million unit sales worldwide in 100 days. Still considering that the demand is much lower for devices with 5 to 7 inch displays than regular sized handsets, the Galaxy Note II is off to a promising start.
With over 5 million worldwide unit sales in two months, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is proving there is still a sizeable demand for larger smartphone devices.
