One of the largest concerns from users regarding Windows Phone 8 is its app selection, which is comparatively inferior to Android and iOS. But earlier this week, good news came from the Windows Phone Apps Team Senior Director, Todd Brix, who announced via Twitter that both app downloads and developer revenue have seen a "100%+" increase since the launch of Windows Phone 8 last month.
That being said, Brix failed to provide any exact numbers as a point of comparison. As many of his Twitter followers pointed out, such vagaries without a point of comparison could mean anything, like an increase from four to eight.
Amazon was also recently criticized for a similar move in which it announced that Kindle sales had "more than doubled" last year's holiday shopping weekend record, but provided no specific figures.
