Not long after pictures of its "London" device leaked on the internet, Research In Motion began sending out invitations to its BlackBerry 10 unveiling in New York on January 30.
Taking place just a few weeks after CES, the event will showcase the launch of the new operating system, which has been in development -- and delayed -- for quite some time now. The exact location of the BlackBerry 10 event, beyond "New York City," is currently unknown.
In addition to the official reveal of the BlackBerry 10 OS, RIM will also be showing off at least one BlackBerry 10 handset at the event, most likely the aforementioned L-Series "London".
Although RIM once dominated the U.S. smartphone market, it has now fallen on hard times. This new operating system is seem as its only hope to once again become a mjaor player on the world handset market.
