While all of the Big Four American carriers have already released an Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Samsung Galaxy S III, U.S. Cellular will look to catch up, as the carrier is set to offer its version of this upgrade starting this Friday, Dec. 21.
The move to a newer version of Google's mobile operating system offers a handful of enhancments, including Google Now, expandable notifications, Android Beam (letting you share media with other users), and new widget capabilities.
Starting on Friday, users will have two options to download the update. Those who are able to download the update via Wi-Fi will be able to do so wirelessly; while others will be able to download the update by connecting their device to the PC via USB cable.
