The HTC 8X and Nokia Lumia 822 just launched last month, but the prices for both of these Windows Phones has been cut by $100.
The 8X debuted at $200 with a new two-year contract, while Nokia's offering was $100 with contract and a $50 mail-in rebate. No longer: the 8X is now $100 with contract, and the Lumia 822 is free with contract.
Price reductions immediately after the holiday shopping season aren't unusual, but it is unusual for them to come on handsets that have only been on the market for a few weeks. This seems to indicate that Verizon needs to spur sales of these Windows Phone 8 models.
