The Samsung Galaxy S IV is easily one of the most anticipated mobile devices of the year. As it draws closer to the eminent reveal of Samsung's new flagship handset, more details are being released. The latest rumor suggests that the Galaxy S4 will offer wireless charging.
According to Korean news publication DDaily, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will offer a wireless charging module that is compatible with the Qi standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium.
To enable this technology, Samsung will reportedly add the necessary coil into the back plate of the Galaxy S IV. However, the report suggests that it will not come with this tech standard. Instead, Samsung will sell the fitted back plates separately, as well as a charger, at a price that has not yet been determined.
Some may remain skeptical of this new claim until Samsung actually shows the device. The Galaxy S III was supposed to come with a wireless charger, but Samsung failed to live up to that promise.
The Samsung Galaxy S IV could be revealed next month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
