LG Optimus G Pro Officially Revealed by Japanese Telecom DoCoMo

We covered the LG Optimus G Pro here on Brighthand when the supposed specs first leaked last week, but it looks like the handset has been given an official reveal now, more or less confirming the rumors.

Japanese telecom NTT DoCoMo, announced that the Optimus G Pro will be its next flagship device, listing the same high-end specs that caught our eye before. Sporting a 5-inch, full-HD display (1920 x 1080 resolution) and running Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), the Optimus G Pro will be powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Other features include 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of onboard storage (expandable via a microSD card slot), a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2.4-megapixel front camera, and LTE connectivity.

More information such as US carrier availability, launch date, and pricing is not currently available, though it is possible that it may come later next month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. At the very least, we may get to hear about LG's other rumored handset at the show, codenamed "GK", with a 5.5-inch full-HD screen and a quad-core processor.
