Nokia Upgrades Music Service to Nokia Music+

Nokia Music, the free music streaming service from the Finnish company, is getting an upgrade in the form of an optional paid version, Nokia Music+.

While the original version of Nokia Music offered a number of features like song skips, no advertisements, and playlist downloads, Nokia Music+ aims to improve the experience and brings users even more flexibility. Nokia Music originally limited users' skips as well as the number of playlist downloads for offline listening, but Nokia Music+ removes both of those restrictions, allowing users to skip songs and download "Mixes" with hours' worth of offline music to their hearts' content.

The quality of the music is also improved; the company claims that Nokia Music+ offers music at eight times the quality of its predecessor, while also giving users the option to automatically have their handset download only high quality when on a Wi-Fi network.

Other features include a lyrics display for the song that's currently playing and the ability to use the Nokia Music+ service on your desktop, smart TV, or any other connected screen.

Nokia Music+ will be rolled out "in the next few weeks" and, while prices will vary slightly based on region, the going rate will be somewhere around $3.99 a month.
