Nokia Flame Windows Phone Could Be Headed for T-Mobile

Rumors of the Nokia Flame have been around for months, and it seems this smartphone is finally about to see the light of day. Despite its cool-sounding name, this will apparently be a low-end Windows Phone.

Information leaking out of T-Mobile indicates that the "Nokia Flame (4G)" is going to be introduced by T-Mobile on April 24. There's no word on pricing in this leak, but earlier unconfirmed reports describe a device that's going to have a low price.

It will supposedly run Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 on a 1GHz dual-core processor, with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage capacity. This will be expandable with microSD memory card slots.

Other features are going to include a 4-inch display and a 5 megapixel camera, if leaked reports are correct.

The reference to "4G" could mean this will be one of T-Mobile's first handsets with LTE. On the other hand, T-Mobile also calls its HSPA+ network 4G, so this upcoming Nokia model might have this slightly slower type of wireless data networking.
