The official announcement of the HTC M7 is less than a week away, and HTC is started giving brief -- very brief -- glimpses of its next flagship smartphone.
The company's UK division has created a countdown page for the device, including flashes of it. These have been sewn together by an intrepid user into one video:
The result doesn't do much to reveal new details of the M7, as it's a bit too heavy on super close-ups and lens flare. A better view came earlier this month, when the head of HTC flashed the device to a crowd.
Earlier this week, an unconfirmed report surfaced that the official name of this model is going to be the HTC One.
More about the HTC M7/HTC One
According to unconfirmed reports that came to light over the past few weeks, the HTC's next flagship smartphone is going to be built around a 1.7Ghz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, and run Android 4.1.2 with an updated version of the HTC Sense user interface. There will be 32GB of internal storage, but no microSD card slot.
The device will also reportedly offer a 4.7-inch, 1920 x 1080 display, with a pixel density of 468 ppi. The M7 will have a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2 MP front one, and a 2,300 mAh battery. All of this will fit into a slim body, if reports are correct.
It's allegedly going to be offered by all of the Big Four U.S. carriers.
