A&E has updated its iOS apps to bring full-length episodes and movies to iPhone and iPod touch at no charge, allowing fans of shows like Storage Wars and Duck Dynasty to watch the latest episodes on their smartphone for free.
The update hit the History Channel and Lifetime apps as well, bringing users more content that includes episodes of Pawn Stars, Project Runway and network movies.
The network's iPad app already offered free episodes, and the updated apps now support iCloud sync, which lets users start an episode on their iPad, for example, then pick up exactly where they left off on their iPhone or iPod touch.
Additionally, users can watch behind-the-scenes clips and deleted scenes via the app, as well as other exclusive content that won't be aired on TV.
Comcast Xfinity subscribers who sign in with their accounts can get even more media, such as access to previous seasons of A&E shows.
While the apps are still lacking AirPlay, limiting users from streaming these programs on their Apple TVs, A&E promises that such support is in the works.
The A&E, History, and Lifetime apps are now available for free in the iTunes App Store.
