HTC has taken the wraps off its next flagship smartphone, the HTC One. Among its many cutting-edge features are a large high-res screen and camera that will offer unusually good performance in low-light situations, as well as a redesigned homescreen.
As expected, this model will have a 4.7-inch display with 1920 x 1080 (1080P) resolution. It will run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, with 2 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of built-in storage.
Not all the details of this handset leaked out early. HTC managed to surprise with a camera that's just 4 megapixels, but each one of these is going to be twice the size of the typical one . The company calls these "ultrapixels" and claims they let in 300% more light.
In addition, the camera will offer a setting that takes 3-seconds of video along with each still image.
The homescreen of the Sense UI will be BlinkFeed. This will look and act quite a bit like Live Tiles, which Microsoft created for its Windows Phone operating system. These tiles will be tied to Facebook, Twitter, and news sources.
This smartphone is going to have a pair of stereo speakers on its front, rather than the sides or back.

The HTC One will be available starting in March, from AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. The price has not yet been officially announced.
While this company did not get specific about when its new flagship smartphone will be released or its pricing, an unconfirmed report pegged the launch date as March 22. Earlier reports have said that the HTC One with 32GB of storage is going to sell for $200 with a two-year contract. A version with 64GB of storage will cost $300 with contract.
