The era of the large handset is upon us, and ZTE is ready to step into the ring. Following in the wake of popular devices such as the Galaxy Note 2 and Optimus G Pro, today ZTE revealed its newest handset the 5.7-inch ZTE Grand Memo. The new handset will offer strong performance thanks to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
The Hardware
The new handset will look to offer a combination of portability and utility with top of the line specs in its sleek 8.5mm and relatively light frame. The device will offer a large 5.7-inch HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with quad-core Krait CPUs, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of stored memory.
Additionally it will also offer 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1-megapixel front-facing camera capable of recording 1080 HD video, and a 3200 mAh battery. The Grand Memo will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box.
The smartphone has been designed to be used on the go with its voice-response technology allowing users functionality while driving, along with A-GPS and car-mode navigation system, which provides mapping and directions. It will also offer Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and 4G LTE connectivity.

The ZTE Grand Memo is currently on display at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device is expected to launch sometime in Q2 of 2013, thought ZTE notes there may be specifications varying between countries and regions.
