Sprint announced the Sprint Force 4G today, an Android phone that is 4G LTE compatible, and available for only $50 with contract.
This entry-level smartphone runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, and features a 4.0-inch WVGA (480x800) display.
The Force also comes with Sprint ID packages, a feature that allows users to select and personalize their smartphone. If you choose the ABC Sprint ID, for example, you'll get the latest news headlines, related apps, widgets, and wallpapers, all following that theme.
More features of the Sprint Force include a 5.0 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus, LED flash and video capture, as well as a 1.0 megapixel front-facing camera.
The device has 3G/4G LTE capability ? if 4G is available in your area, you'll get 4G; if not, you'll get 3G. It can be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot, and simultaneously supports up to eight Wi-Fi devices.
The Sprint Force 4G is available now for only $50 with either a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year service plan, after a $50 mail-in rebate.
