Those wondering what Apple's next-generation smartphone will look like need to look no farther than the company's current iPhone 5, as its replace is reportedly going to be very similar, but with a few enhancements.
Citing sources in the component-makers in Asia, DigiTimes is reporting that the iPhone 5S is going to have a faster processor and a higher-resolution camera. These are expected to be the main changes.
Components for this device will allegedly start shipping this spring, with the device itself possibly being released during the third quarter.
More on the Way?
There have been unconfirmed reports that Apple is considering broadening its phone offerings. One possibility is a cheaper version that will use a plastic casing. This will be sold in emerging markets when very inexpensive smartphones dominate the market.
Another possibility is an iPhone with a larger display -- about 4.8-inches. The reports of this device say it might be out near the end of this year, or possibly next year.
