A major addition came to the Windows Phone 8 app selection today in the form of Pandora, bringing users the popular internet radio streaming service for no charge.
Though free versions of Pandora are available for other platforms, the Windows Phone version of the free app has the added benefit of being ad-free through the 2013 calendar year. Other unique features include Live Tile integration, which allows users to see what they're listening to at a glance, as well as the ability to access their favorite stations directly from the Start screen.
Pandora for Windows Phone also marks the first app to automatically filter out explicit content, as songs marked as such won't play when the phone is in Kid's Corner mode.
The unlimited, ad-free Pandora app is now available in the Windows Phone Store, along with the rest of the platform's selection of roughly 130,000 apps.
