HTC One Launching in the U.S. Next Month

HTC has just announced what most people had already guessed by this point: the HTC One isn't going to be released for at least another week or so.

According to a statement released by the company, HTC's flagship smartphone is going to be available in the U.S. "before the end of April." It did not get more specific.

AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have all committed to offering the HTC One, but today's statement is the best indication so far of when that is going to happen.

The global launch of the device is going to be before the U.S. one, as it will debut in parts of Europe and Asia next week.

"HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One, and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April. We appreciate our customers' patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait."
